The Norwegian Nature Inspectorate

Environmental education and school sessions

Our environmental educator employed by The Norwegian Nature Inspectorate offers sessions for classes and other groups at the Hardangervidda Nature Centre. All school sessions are based on the curriculum in Norwegian primary- and secondary school. It is also possible to book a lecture on the development of the landscape after the Ice Age, featuring spectacular photographs from Hardangervidda.

School Sessions

  •  Grades 5–7: «Life in the highlands» An educational session with a lecture and assignments that uses the exhibition to inspire curiosity and interest in nature.
  •  Grades 8–10: «Conservation and the Arctic Fox».

Lecture

  • «Hardangervidda – past and present». A lecture about the development of the landscape throughout millions of years, and changes in man’s utilisation of it during the past 100 years.
